The stark black and white design is meant to reflect designer Stephane Ashpool's love of his seedy Parisian neighborhood (fittingly called the Pigalle district). According to Beats, "the sleek white marks against a glossy black finish symbolize the passing of time and the evolution of Ashpool’s beloved community." While it might be difficult to glean that from the stylish headphones, there's certainly a sense of urban grittiness in their austere design, which is, of course, married with Beats' world-class technological audio standards. The headphones, which cost $449.95, will become available December 11th on the Beats By Dre website.
